Polycrystalline CVD Diamond Dressing Blanks
Polycrystalline CVD diamond dressing blanks for manufacturing grinding wheel dressers, dressing inserts and wheel conditioning tools.
Produced from free-standing polycrystalline CVD diamond, these dressing blanks combine excellent wear resistance with stable dressing performance, making them suitable for precision grinding applications where long tool life and consistent wheel conditioning are required.
Available as rectangular rods and custom-cut blanks for integration into single-point dressers, multi-point dressers, form dressing tools and other dressing assemblies.

Wear Resistance Grades
Wear ratio is one of the most important indicators for evaluating dressing tool performance.
The higher the wear ratio, the slower the diamond wears during operation and the longer the expected service life of the dressing tool.
| Grade | Typical Wear Ratio |
|---|---|
| Economic Grade | 200,000 – 350,000 |
| Medium Grade | 350,000 – 500,000 |
| Premium Grade | 500,000 – 800,000 |
For example, a wear ratio of 300,000 indicates that the abrasive material wears approximately 300,000 times faster than the diamond itself.
The most suitable grade depends on grinding wheel type, dressing frequency, production volume and tool design.
Why Use Polycrystalline CVD Diamond for Dressing Tools?
Polycrystalline CVD diamond has become an increasingly popular dressing material because it combines excellent wear resistance with a uniform polycrystalline structure.
Compared with conventional dressing materials, CVD diamond can provide:
Long dressing life
Stable wheel conditioning performance
Consistent wear behavior
High dimensional stability
Suitable performance for precision grinding operations
Material selection should be based on wheel specification, dressing parameters and expected tool life.
Custom Manufacturing
Custom dressing blanks can be supplied according to application requirements.
Available options include:
Custom length
Custom cross section
Laser-cut geometry
Batch production
Grade selection
Inspection and sorting
Lot-specific inspection information can be provided when required.
